Before The event

Some preparations you'll want to do before the event.

  • Look over the Rules and Regulations of RallyX
    • Make sure that there are no conflicts between your plans and the Rules (Is your child old enough to ride along? Is your vehicle RallyX legal? Do we need to know about medical conditions, etc….)
  • Class your car
    • When you register for the event we will need to know what number you would like to run as well as what class you intend to compete in.
    • We will be more than happy to help you figure out how to class your car if you are having trouble understanding the rules. You can contact us via our contact information at the bottom of this page.
  • Register for the event
    • We never charge you until the day of the event after we confirm with you that we can charge the account you registered with
    • You can pay in cash the day of the event even if you registered online. We just won’t charge your card.
    • If you don’t show up the day of, you also will not be charged.
    • keep in mind that there with be a $5 fee to register the day of the event so be sure to register ahead of time.
    • Pre-registering helps speed up our check-in process so the more people who pre-register the faster the event can get started.
  • Tech your car
    • The Tech sheet can be found on the Rules and Regulations page
    • Please print this sheet out and run through the checklist at some point before the event.
    • Novices will have their car teched by our Chief of Tech, but all other competitors will go through a brief check and accept what is claimed on the tech sheet so make sure to be thorough. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

  • Optional steps
    • Purchase an SCCA permitted helmet
      • We have loaner helmets on site so this is not a requirement, but if you don’t want to potentially have to share a helmet or require more than an XL helmet it is recommended.
    • Pack supplies
      • Some supplies you might want to bring with you but are not required are:
        • Tire pressure gauge
          • We require that you list your tire pressure on your tech sheets the day of the event, but we have gauges you can borrow
        • Tools
          • If you are mechanically inclined you may want to pack tools to either make repairs or changes to your car.
          • We have tools onsite that you can borrow if needed
        • Food & Drinks
          • During the summer months, we will always have water on site but you are always free to bring whatever food and drink you would like (Non-alcoholic beverages only)
        • Sunscreen
          • During the summer you will be exposed to the sun for long periods of time so be prepared to protect your skin.
        • Chairs
          • We are located in a field and while there is seating on the bus, if you wish to sit near your vehicle you’ll likely want to bring a chair with you.
